About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Emilia-Romagna in central Italy. The nearby Adriatic Sea and the high peaks of the Apennines create conditions suited to growing high-quality Sangiovese.
Vinification
The wine is made by the appassimento method, from slightly dried grapes.
Ageing
After fermentation, 20% of the wine is aged in small oak barrels for 6 months.
Tasting profile
Elegant, with depth and a concentrated flavour. The oak ageing adds spicy notes to the bouquet.
