About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in the Garda Hills, beside Lake Garda, at approximately 100 metres above sea level. The soils are clay-based and of morainic origin.

Grapes

Garganega is a traditional variety of the Veronese area. Chardonnay contributes fruity character and a delicate savoury note.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested during the first ten days of September, then sorted and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The wine is produced using the Charmat method.

Ageing

The wine rests in steel tanks for three months, followed by at least two months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Elegant, with fruity character and a delicate savoury note.

Label / history

Garda DOC is a Valdo project combining the company’s winemaking traditions with those of the Lake Garda area. The label is inspired by the waves of Lake Garda. The wine received gold medals at Mundus Vini and the Berlin Wine Trophy in 2022, silver medals at Mundus Vini in 2022 and 2021, and a bronze medal at The Global Masters in 2019.
