About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the estate’s vineyards on the hills of San Pietro di Barbozza, at 350–400 m above sea level. The vines are old and grow on steep, particularly precipitous terrain that makes viticulture difficult.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed at the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at 18 °C. Secondary fermentation follows in sealed autoclaves using the Charmat-Martinotti method.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees for at least six months.
Label / history
“Rive” denotes the steep, particularly precipitous terrain on which the vines grow. Production is limited to 17,852 bottles. The wine received a silver medal at the 2020 IWSC and a WineHunter Award in 2020.
