About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from vineyards planted by Valle Reale in 2002 near the Gran Sasso mountain range in Abruzzo, at 400 m above sea level. The sites face south and southeast. Hot summers are moderated by constant mountain winds, which cool and ventilate the vines, while marked temperature variations allow the grapes to ripen fully while retaining fresh acidity and sufficient sugar. The soils are poor in minerals but contain abundant sea salt, contributing a distinctive mineral note. The vineyards are managed without artificial chemical fertilizers throughout the growing season.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in October. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks for 20 days.
Ageing
The wine rests for two months in 100–150 hL steel tanks, followed by one month in bottle in the winery’s cellar.
Tasting profile
Elegant, delicate and fresh, with aromas of white flowers, citrus and minerals. The palate is juicy and well balanced.
Serving and pairing
Pair with seafood, sushi and white-meat dishes.
