Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese Grosso fruit comes from vineyards between Castelnuovo dell'Abate and Monte Amiata Scalo, near Montalcino.
Grapes
The wine uses Sangiovese Grosso, also identified as Brunello.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in the first week of October at full phenolic ripeness. After destemming and crushing, they ferment in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks and macerate for 16 days.
Ageing
The wine rests for eight months in stainless-steel tanks.
