About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow on sandy-silty soils at approximately 250 m above sea level. The vines are 5–7 years old.

Grapes

The blend contains equal proportions of Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo.

Vinification

Harvest usually begins in mid-September. The grapes are pressed under an inert atmosphere, followed by several hours of skin maceration. Vinification takes place at no more than 27 °C, and malolactic fermentation occurs naturally.

Ageing

The wine rests on its fine lees in steel tanks for three months. Bottling begins in January.

Tasting profile

Fresh and fruity, with a friendly, easy-going character.
