About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The organically farmed vineyards lie on gentle hills in the Maremma area, at about 45 metres above sea level.
Ageing
The wine ages for nine months in large oak barrels, followed by three months in bottle.
Label / history
The name Prelius comes from the ancient Lake Prelius, which existed during the Roman Empire on the land where the winery now stands.
