About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Zuc vineyard, from vines averaging 20 years of age. The Zuc di Volpe range is produced only in the best vintages.
Vinification
Following cold maceration, the wine ferments in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine ages for one year exclusively in new barriques, followed by a further 6–8 months in bottle before release.
Tasting profile
Full-bodied yet elegant. When young, wines in the range are generally red to deep red; with age, they develop richer ruby and dark burgundy tones, while their aromas and flavours evolve.
Label / history
The name Zuc di Volpe means “hilltop.” The range was introduced in 1990.
