About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from estate vineyards in the historic Conegliano Valdobbiadene area, situated at 120–180 metres above sea level on iron-rich silty loam soils.

Grapes

The blend contains at least 85% Glera, with Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco together accounting for up to 15%.

Vinification

Fully ripe grapes are harvested by hand early in the morning and transported to the winery in small crates. After destemming and pressing, the must is settled. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in large stainless-steel tanks for 40 days at approximately 15 °C. The second fermentation follows the Italian Charmat method, lasting 45 days at 15 °C in sealed pressure tanks. The wine is filtered before bottling for a bright, clear appearance.

Ageing

The wine rests on its lees for at least two months.

Label / history

The cuvée was first released in 2009.
