About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The 2.5-hectare Monte Olmi vineyard lies in Pedemonte di Valpolicella, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Its terraced vines face southwest. The steep slope promotes drainage during heavy rain, while the deep, predominantly clay soil retains water in dry periods.
Vinification
The grapes are dried for four months under controlled humidity conditions in accordance with the traditional Amarone method.
Ageing
The wine matures for three years in Slavonian oak barrels, followed by six months in bottle.
Label / history
The Tedeschi family has owned vineyards in Veneto for around 400 years, passing its winemaking knowledge through successive generations.
