About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in the Lugana region, in the northern part of Garda Island. The soils are clay-rich and contain abundant mineral salts.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes undergo skin maceration and gentle pressing, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation using traditional methods.
Ageing
The wine matures in stainless-steel tanks.
Label / history
The Lugana area takes its name from the Latin Lacus Lucanus, meaning “lake in the woods.” From the 12th century, this densely forested land extending to Lake Garda was home to monastic estates.
