Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from a small vineyard within the Cottà geographical mention in the municipality of Neive. The family acquired the site in the 1970s. Its south-west-facing vines were planted between 1962 and 1996. The vineyard carries a Tortonian geological imprint associated with complex, long-lived wines.
Grapes
100% Nebbiolo.
Ageing
Maturation lasts about 24 months in oak casks, followed by approximately 24 months of refinement in bottle.
Label / history
Cottà was vinified separately for the first time in 2015, revealing another expression of the historic Barbaresco area.
