Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay is grown in estate vineyards on the hills of Barbaresco, Neive and Castagnito. The sites face from north-east to east and have marly soils dominated by limestone, with veins of sand. The vines were planted between 1994 and 2019.
Grapes
100% Chardonnay.
Vinification
Malolactic fermentation is avoided to preserve the wine’s fresh character.
Ageing
The wine matures for a few months in stainless-steel tanks.
Tasting profile
A young, fragrant wine defined by floral and fruity richness. The palate is full and distinctly savoury while retaining freshness.

The Rocca family first planted Chardonnay during the 1990s.
