Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from vineyards on the hills of Castagnito and Magliano Alfieri, supplemented by a small portion from Barbaresco. The Castagnito and Magliano Alfieri sites range in exposure from east to west, while the Barbaresco vines face east. The soils are marly, with limestone mixed with sand. Planting years range from 1967 to 2002.

Grapes

Predominantly Nebbiolo with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc.

Ageing

The wine matures for a few months in stainless-steel tanks.

Tasting profile

A fragrant red with youthful fruit and floral aromas. The palate is fresh and savoury, shaped for immediate enjoyment and a wide range of occasions.

Label / history

This version of Nebbiolo grew out of the family’s 2016 purchase of a vineyard in Magliano Alfieri, a municipality on the left bank of the Tanaro River.
