Vineyard and terroir
The Glera is grown in well-ventilated vineyards in the Veneto foothills, at elevations of 60–240 metres. The temperate climate brings cold winters, hot summers and marked temperature swings, particularly in summer.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September, then destemmed and gently pressed in a pneumatic press. The must is clarified by static settling before fermentation at 18–20 °C. The second fermentation follows the classic Italian method in a 100 hl stainless-steel autoclave and takes about 50 days.
Ageing
The wine continues to develop in bottle for 2–3 years, gaining aromatic and flavour complexity.
Tasting profile
Elegant and aromatic.
Serving and pairing
Serve in a large glass.
