Vineyard and terroir
The Glera is grown at Carpesica on limestone and clay soils containing glacial moraine deposits, which contribute depth and freshness. Bellenda does not use herbicides in its vineyards and works to preserve biodiversity.
Vinification
After gentle pressing, the must is settled statically and fermented at 18–20 °C. The wine then remains on its fine lees for several months before undergoing a 12-month secondary fermentation in bottle by the traditional method.
Ageing
After disgorgement, the wine rests in bottle for a further six months.
Tasting profile
Fine bubbles accompany a clean, crisp and elegant profile. The delicate, balanced nose has notes of apple, hazelnut, rosemary and mint. The palate combines lively acidity with a creamy texture, depth and freshness. With time, the aromas become more complex and the texture develops greater depth and creaminess.
Serving and pairing
Pair with seafood, fish appetisers, vegetable dishes and soft cheeses.
