Storia
Bisci was founded in the early 1970s, when brothers Giuseppe and Pierino Bisci bought a plot of around 15 hectares. Today, the estate is managed by Giuseppe's son, Mauro, who is supported by consultant Aroldo Bellelli.
Terroir
The vineyards lie on south-facing hills at elevations of 300 to 350 meters, in the Matelica area.
Vinificazione
The vineyards are farmed with respect for the environment, and organic fertilizers are used only when absolutely necessary. The focus is on growing healthy, fully ripe grapes so as to keep intervention in the winemaking process to a minimum.
The aim is to produce high-quality wines that reflect the distinctive character of the Matelica area, with grape growing focused on health and full ripeness so that winemaking intervention can be kept to a minimum.
