Storia
Belisario was founded in 1971. The company has grown to own 300 hectares in Alta Valle Esina and has become the largest producer of Verdicchio di Matelica DOC and DOCG wines. It produces two ranges: "Belisario," created for restaurants and wine shops, and "Poggio alle Rondini," intended for the company's own distribution through retail networks. Belisario has held ISO 9001 quality certification since 2002, and 24 hectares of its vineyards are certified for growing organic grapes.
Terroir
The estate is located in Alta Valle Esina. The area's microclimate helps the grapes develop more concentrated aromas, retain their acidity and reach ideal ripeness.
Vinificazione
Each Belisario wine is carefully planned from the vineyard onward, with the aim of achieving the highest possible quality in the finished wine. 24 hectares of the estate's vineyards are certified for growing organic grapes.
