Tasting profile
The style emphasizes fresh, pulpy fruit, intensity and easy drinkability. The 2024 opens with clearly defined cherry, wild strawberry and redcurrant, followed by rose and violet. The palate is fluid and dynamic, with polished tannins, lively freshness and controlled structure. Its alcohol level is lower than in preceding vintages, contributing to an elegant, harmonious profile.
Vintage notes
The mild, stable spring of 2024 encouraged even budburst and rapid shoot growth. Weather instability during flowering required attentive vineyard management, and yields varied somewhat with exposure and parcel conditions. A summer without extreme heat or water stress supported gradual ripening. The grapes retained lively acidity, moderate sugar levels and good polyphenolic concentration. Harvest occurred from 7 to 15 October, producing a fresh, balanced and moderately alcoholic expression.
Label / history
The red number 1661 refers to a cadastral document identifying Brunella as an area devoted to high-quality grapes and wine. It also honours the farmers who have cultivated vineyards around the cellar for more than four centuries.
