Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the producer's own vineyards in the Trevenezie IGT zone, which covers all of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto and the province of Trentino in Trentino-Alto Adige. The area has a long winemaking tradition. Its moderate climate, low rainfall and moderate humidity help the grapes ripen fully while developing generous aromas and refreshing acidity. The vines grow in mineral-rich clay soils.
Vinification
Harvest usually takes place in the second half of October, once the grapes reach optimal ripeness. They are destemmed and gently pressed, then macerated on the skins for 10–15 days with daily pump-overs to extract colour, aromas and tannins. After alcoholic fermentation the juice is separated from skins and pulp by gentle pressing. All vinification takes place in stainless steel vats.
Ageing
The wine matures on its fine lees for several weeks in stainless steel tanks. It is then cold-stabilized, filtered and bottled.
Tasting profile
Well balanced, with a pleasant aroma and rich flavour.
