Vineyard and terroir
The Moscato grapes come from the producer's own vineyards within the Trevenezie IGT zone. The zone covers all of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto, together with the province of Trentino in Trentino-Alto Adige, and has a long winemaking tradition. Its climate is mainly temperate, with low rainfall and moderate humidity, which helps the grapes ripen fully and develop rich aromas and refreshing acidity.
Tasting profile
Aromatic and inviting, with the distinctive aroma of the variety. The palate is smooth and balanced, with a gentle sweetness that is not cloying and moderate alcohol.
Label / history
This is the still version of the sparkling "Petalo" Moscato. The grape's name comes from "muscum", meaning moss. The Greeks cultivated it and brought it to their colonies in Magna Graecia in southern Italy. In the Middle Ages it spread north, largely through the Venetians and their trade with the Mediterranean islands.
