Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards in the Castelnuovo dell'Abate area.
Vinification
Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, usually in the second half of October. At the winery they are destemmed and gently pressed, then macerated on the skins for 15 days. The cap is punched down daily to extract colour, aromas and tannins fully.
Ageing
The wine ages for 8–12 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
