Tasting profile
Ruby red with violet highlights. The fruity nose offers black cherry and forest berries. Full-bodied on the palate, with harmonious flavours and aromas and balanced tannins.

Serve at 14–16°C. Pair with pasta dressed with ragù, cured-meat appetizers or grilled meats.
Label / history
The Rupestro line is connected with poet Gabriele D’Annunzio and Orvieto. While composing Alcyone on 13 October 1903, D’Annunzio coined the adjective “rupestro” to convey the sensation of looking down from above, an experience familiar to the inhabitants of Orvieto. Cardèto adopted the word for the line and for Orvieto Classico Rupestro.
