Tasting profile
Deep ruby red. The nose offers sweet notes of red-fruit preserves and cherries in alcohol. These fruit sensations carry through to the palate, balanced by softness, pleasant tannins and good persistence.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18 °C with grilled or roasted red meats.
Label / history
The front label depicts Orvieto’s medieval quarter, the oldest and earliest inhabited section of the rocky plateau. Steep Via della Cava was long a principal entrance to the city, as shown by the Etruscan Porta Maggiore and remains of an Etruscan wall. The quarter is marked by houses built on tuff outcrops and views including the Ripa Medici.
