Label / history
The Pierleone line takes its name from two historical figures: the fearless medieval soldier of fortune known as “Il Pierleone,” and the Umbrian nobleman Pierleone Leoni (1440–1492), an Italian physician, philosopher and astrologer who became Lorenzo de’ Medici’s personal doctor.
