Vineyard and terroir

Estate-grown Nebbiolo and Barbera come from 4.00 ha in Piobesi d’Alba and Alba.

Grapes

85% Nebbiolo and 15% Barbera, with a stated yield of 80 q/ha.

Vinification

A few hours of skin contact create the pale salmon and onion-skin colour. After the skins are removed, the must ferments in stainless steel at 20–22°C.

Ageing

The technical sheet gives about three months in stainless-steel vats followed by at least three months in bottle. The wine page summarizes refinement as six months in stainless steel.

Technical data

Langhe DOC Rosato. First produced in 2016. Formats: 0.375 L, 0.75 L, 1.5 L, 3 L, 6 L, 9 L and 12 L.

Tasting profile

Pale salmon pink with onion-skin highlights. The bouquet combines pronounced vegetal notes, fresh flowers and a light spicy accent. The palate is elegant, fresh, mineral and agreeable, with good personality, a rich structure and an easy-drinking, versatile character.

Serving and pairing

The technical sheet recommends 14–16°C; a dedicated feature gives 12–14°C. Suitable as an aperitif and with appetizers, pasta, risotto, fried dishes, shellfish, seafood and fish, or throughout a meal.

Label / history

“Cereja” is an auspicious Piedmontese greeting of warm welcome. The name also subtly evokes the pink colour through its shared linguistic root with the dialect word “ceresa,” meaning cherry.
