Vineyard and terroir
Sangiovese is sourced from Casanova vineyards in Terricciola and the Sezzana vineyard in Casciana Terme. The approximately 20 ha of vines lie at 250 m above sea level, with south-west and south-east exposures, and average 20 years of age. Terricciola has sandy, marine-origin soils rich in marine sediments, while Casciana Terme is rocky and strongly marked by travertine.
