Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in the hills of Montalcino in Tuscany, among old cypress trees. The area has a Mediterranean climate, with warm, dry summers and wetter autumns and springs. The loose, highly fertile soils are rich in tuff and allow the grapes to ripen fully.
Vinification
Carefully selected fruit is fermented and macerated on the skins. Production combines traditional methods with modern techniques.
Ageing
The wine ages in barrels before bottling, followed by further maturation in the estate’s cellars at 16–18 °C.
