Vineyard and terroir
Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG is produced from Vigna del Lamo, a 3-hectare vineyard planted between 2000 and 2007. The south-facing site lies at approximately 300 m above sea level in a natural amphitheatre overlooking the Asso Valley. Its ridge has silty-sandy soil with calcareous components, changing toward the base into an increasingly silty, calcareous and clayey profile. The vines are Guyot trained and farmed under a certified organic regime.
Fine-textured, stony soils and pronounced summer temperature shifts shape the estate’s vineyard environment.
