Questo vino

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from the Cascine Drago vineyard in Piemonte. Its vines are of Burgundian origin and yield a delicate yet structured profile.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed. Traditional vinification includes 8–10 days of maceration and malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine matures in oak for around one year, gaining depth and complexity.

Tasting profile

Elegant and delicate, with aromas of red berries, wild berries, strawberries, tobacco and spices, alongside complex savoury notes. The palate is silky and long, with soft tannins and fresh, balanced, gentle acidity.

Serving and pairing

Pairs with poultry, game and pasta, especially agnolotti.

Label / history

The name Campo Romano refers to Roman ruins uncovered while the vineyard site was being excavated for planting. The finds included fragments of bricks, roof tiles and amphorae.
