Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in Roncaglie, one of the key crus in the Barbaresco area.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed, followed by 12–15 days of maceration. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12–14 months in Slavonian oak barrels, which round out the tannins and impart spicy and woody nuances. Further development takes place in the bottle.
Tasting profile
Elegant and refined, with aromas of cherry, dark berries, rose and spice. The palate is complex and long-lasting, structured by firm yet elegant tannins and marked by depth and finesse.
Serving and pairing
Pairs with classic northern Italian dishes, particularly braised beef, lamb ribs and game.
