Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Gualdo Cattaneo in the province of Perugia. Grechetto represents the white-wine expression of Montefalco, where it is valued for its personality, youthful appeal and versatility at the table. An early harvest is chosen to retain freshness and acidity.
Grapes
Grechetto and Chardonnay.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and softly pressed, with pressure limited to 0.2 bar. The must is cold-settled before alcoholic fermentation at 12–15 °C.
Ageing
The wine matures for three months with weekly bâtonnage. Steel and bottle are used to preserve the character of the grapes.
Tasting profile
Pale yellow. Almond notes are interwoven with ripe fruit and floral nuances. The palate is fresh and well balanced.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12 °C with fish, white-meat dishes or medium-aged cheeses.
Label / history
The wine was created to highlight Grechetto as the white soul of the Montefalco area, using early picking and maturation without wood to emphasize freshness and varietal character.
