Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in the province of Treviso at 40 metres above sea level, on slightly calcareous soil. The region's geographical position gives highly favourable conditions for growing almost any grape variety.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from late September to early October. At the winery they are destemmed and crushed, then fermented on the skins for 6–8 days at a controlled temperature to extract tannins, aromas and colour. At the end of fermentation the must is pressed to separate the wine from the skins.
Ageing
The wine ages in stainless steel tanks for at least one year, which helps it develop balance and expressive fruit notes. After bottling it matures for several more months in a temperature-controlled cellar.
Tasting profile
Fresh, lively red with a balanced, bright, fruity palate. The nose is attractive, with notes of raspberry. The fruit is generous.
Serving and pairing
Suited to meat dishes and flavourful cheeses, which bring out new layers of flavour in the wine.
