Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay grows in Sinistra Piave at 40 metres above sea level. The soils are mainly gravelly. The text describes the geographical position of the area as very favourable for growing almost any grape variety.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in early September. In the winery they undergo cold maceration for several hours, to extract as much colour and aroma as possible from the berries. After gentle pressing, the must is settled at a low temperature, which leaves the juice crystal clear. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks with selected yeasts.
Ageing
After fermentation the wine is filtered and aged in stainless steel tanks. It then matures in the bottle for several months after bottling.
Tasting profile
Fresh, lively and full-flavoured, with bright fruit and floral notes on both nose and palate. The texture is soft and the acidity lively.
Serving and pairing
Suited to a light family dinner, or as a refreshing wine for hot summer days.
