Tasting profile
Bright in colour, with elegant aromas of apricot and citrus joined by saline, sea-breeze-like nuances. Freshness and savoury character form the core of the palate. The finish is persistent and fruit-driven, with a lightly salty accent.
Serving and pairing
Suitable from the appetizer course onward, especially with vegetables, fish and white meats. Suggested dishes include seafood salad, prawn cocktail, fried fish, whitefish risotto, risi e bisi, scampi risotto, pizza with courgette flowers and anchovies, and veal escalopes with lemon.
Label / history
Casa Defrà means “House of the Cielo Brothers” and identifies the family’s original farmhouse at the foot of the Colli Vicentini. The family established itself there and planted its first vineyard in 1908, beginning a four-generation enterprise.
