Technical data
Colli Berici DOC. Alcohol: 14% vol. Cellar potential: 1–6 years. Presented in a 750 ml Baros bottle weighing 700 g. EAN: 8008900008692.
Tasting profile
Garnet red with a dense appearance. Powerful aromas of berries and plums are layered with sweet spice, black pepper, liquorice, leather and toasted hazelnut. The palate is full, soft and pulpy, with ripe red-fruit flavours and well-balanced tannins. Its initially velvety texture gives way to minerality and a savoury, spicy persistence.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18 °C. Pair with pasta in Bolognese sauce, barbecued T-bone steak with rosemary potatoes, braised lamb shank with rosemary, turkey-stuffed peppers, filet mignon, aubergine parmigiana, roast duck with Marsala jus and vanilla mashed potatoes, roasted peppers and mushrooms, Parmigiano Reggiano or Gouda.
Label / history
The wine is rooted in an old rural residence purchased by the family in 1908, which became the centre of its production in the Colli Berici DOC area.
