Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
Produced from the native Friulano variety grown in the estate’s gravelly and clay-rich Friuli vineyards. Its fresh, mineral and gently savoury style reflects this terroir.
Grapes
100% Friulano.
Vinification
Whole berries are gently pressed in a pneumatic press without breaking the seeds. After the first racking, the must is clarified by flotation and fermented in stainless-steel vats at approximately 15°C. Bottling takes place under vacuum.
Ageing
The wine remains on its lees, sustained by frequent bâtonnage, until bottling. It then rests in bottle for at least two months before release.
Technical data
Annual production is approximately 30,000 bottles. Bottles are sealed with DIAM composite corks.
Tasting profile
Pleasant straw yellow, sometimes with green highlights. Bitter almond and green apple define the nose. The palate is delicate, refined, soft and rounded, with freshness, minerality, a gently savoury finish and slightly lower acidity than the other white wines in the range. The aftertaste is notably soft and enveloping.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 12°C. A classic regional pairing is San Daniele prosciutto. The wine also accompanies shrimp, scallops, shellfish, fish and sushi. Its rounded acidity contrasts well with chilli and peppers, including Thai-style shrimp stir-fry. Pair with Montasio or goat cheese, artichokes, white or green asparagus, and unsalted almonds.
