Vineyard and terroir
Palistorti Bianco grows out of a Lucca-area tradition in which white and red grapes were cultivated and vinified together. Varieties were often intermingled within the same vineyards, producing wines closely connected to the local landscape.
Grapes
Vermentino is presented as the principal variety, accompanied by the traditional Trebbiano, Grechetto and Malvasia. The percentages printed on the current page are 50% Vermentino, 30% Trebbiano, 15% Malvasia and 15% Grechetto; taken literally, they total 110%.
Ageing
The wine spends six months settling and maturing in stainless steel at low temperature.
Label / history
The wine is framed as a Mediterranean white preserving the historical white-wine identity of the Lucca area.
Awards
The page shows a Slow Wine score of 98/100, a Forbes designation as Best Tuscan Wine 2021 and a Vinous 2012 score of 95/100. It does not clearly associate the first two entries with wine vintages.
