Vineyard and terroir
The Ferrione vineyard lies in the commune of Monforte d'Alba. Its soils are clay with limestone and marl, which give the grapes concentration, minerality and richness.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the final weeks of September, then destemmed and gently pressed. The must ferments spontaneously with native yeasts.
Ageing
The wine ages for 4 months in oak barrels and 6 months in concrete amphorae.
Tasting profile
Deep and distinctive, with a complex, layered aroma.
