Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie at 330–380 m above sea level on east- and southeast-facing slopes. Morning and daytime sunlight promotes even ripening and the development of complex aromas. The loamy and sandy-clay soils have a high limestone content, contributing mineral depth and refined structure.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to retain a balance between acidity and flavour concentration. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, with gentle aroma extraction intended to preserve varietal character.
Ageing
The wine spends 16 months in small barriques. Regular tastings identify the batches selected for a further 18–24 months in barriques and tonneaux. After bottling, it rests for another year in the estate cellar.
Tasting profile
The wine combines balanced acidity and concentrated flavour with mineral depth and refined tannic structure. Ageing brings harmony, richness, roundness and subtle oak notes. The 2020 vintage is expected to be at its best from 2028 to 2046, as its tannins soften and its bouquet gains complexity.
