Vineyard and terroir
The Refosco grows in the Montsclapade vineyard. The Dorigo family increased planting density severalfold to limit bunch weight and influence grape flavour.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully selected and sorted, then pressed gently over an extended period. Dry ice cooling preserves their aromatic character during pressing. The winery invested in new barriques for fermentation.
Label / history
Montsclapade means “split mountain”, referring to the neighbouring mountain whose summit is divided in two. The Dorigo family acquired two previously overlooked vineyards in the mid-20th century, combining their traditions and history with modern winemaking technology.
