Storia
The Drusian family has been making wine for three generations. Today they own 80 ha of vineyards in the Prosecco wine region, in the north of Veneto near the city of Treviso, with a modern winery located in the heart of the Valdobbiadene commune. The estate is currently run by Francesco Drusian.
Terroir
The vineyards lie in the Prosecco wine region, in the north of Veneto near the city of Treviso. The winery is located in the heart of the Valdobbiadene commune.
Vinificazione
Close attention is paid to work in the vineyard, keeping the use of machinery and technology around the vines to a minimum. Every bunch is carefully tended throughout the grapes' development and ripening. The harvest is carried out entirely by hand, and only carefully selected grapes at the ideal level of ripeness are used to make the wines.
Francesco Drusian combines modern winemaking trends with centuries-old local traditions. Only carefully selected, hand-harvested grapes at the ideal level of ripeness are used, which is considered one of the reasons for the quality of the wines.
Filosofia
Francesco Drusian believes that wine should be a pure expression of the quality of the grapes, and that careful grape selection at the ideal level of ripeness is one of the reasons for the high quality of the wines.
