Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards have a continental climate with marked day-to-night temperature differences, helping the grapes retain fresh acidity and concentrated aromas. The soils are volcanic with clay, contributing minerality and a gentle spicy note.
Vinification
The base wine is Titolo Aglianico del Vulture. It is infused with a selected blend of herbs and spices from Vulture, including savory, rosemary and juniper, alongside sweet and bitter orange, lemon and tamarind.
Ageing
The vermouth matures for one year in barriques, followed by one year in bottle.
Tasting profile
Elegant, expressive and full-flavoured, it has a broad aromatic range. Sweet and bitter orange, lemon and tamarind give a bright Mediterranean character, complemented by balsamic notes from local herbs and shrubs. Fresh citrus combines with spicy, slightly resinous depth, producing a complex and expressive profile.
Serving and pairing
Serve in a small glass as an aperitif, with olives, almonds, soft cheeses or thinly sliced smoked meat. It can also be used in cocktails, including a Red Vermouth Spritz: combine 50 ml of vermouth with 75 ml of sparkling water or light tonic over plenty of ice, stir gently and garnish with a slice of orange or lemon.
Label / history
The vermouth received a gold medal at the 2024 World Vermouth Awards.
