Vineyard and terroir
For the 2022, 2023 and 2024 vintages, the fruit came from Rüncot, the estate’s oldest vineyard. Its Nebbiolo is normally vinified and released separately as Rüncot Barolo, but Elio Grasso did not produce that wine in these years and allocated the grapes to Gavarini instead.
Tasting profile
The 2024 is elegant, with greater depth and structure than usual. It is classically structured, gently playful and refreshing, with an almost Burgundian aroma and classic Nebbiolo tannins.
