Vineyard and terroir
The southeast-facing hillside vineyards lie at 350–450 m above sea level. Their sandy-loamy soils contain abundant coarse gravel. The vines are trained using the pergola system, range from 5 to 30 years old and yield approximately 65 hl/ha.
Grapes
Moscato Giallo.
Vinification
Particularly gentle grape processing helps preserve the characteristic primary aromas. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures.
Ageing
The wine matures for four months in stainless-steel tanks.
Technical data
Alcohol: 12.5%. Residual sugar: 2.5 g/L. Acidity: 5.8 g/L. Ageing potential: 2–3 years.
Tasting profile
Bright, lustrous golden yellow. The bouquet combines a delicate nutmeg note with fine floral aromas. The palate is elegant, juicy and spicy, with sweet-and-sour finesse and an alluring but restrained aromatic expression.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 8–10 °C. Pair with assorted antipasti or serve alongside dessert.
