Vineyard and terroir
The Pinot Nero comes from east-facing hillside vineyards at 450–550 metres above sea level. The soils are loamy and sandy. Vines are trained using Guyot and pergola systems, range from 5 to 20 years old and yield 65 hl/ha.

Alcohol: 13.5%. Residual sugar: 2.5 g/L. Acidity: 4.9 g/L.
Tasting profile
Bright ruby red in colour, with a delicate bouquet of raspberry and cherry. The palate combines an elegant structure with fine tannins.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 14–16 °C. Suitable for pasta with vegetables or mild sauces and for white meat. Ageing potential is 4–6 years.
Label / history
The variety is known internationally by several names, including Spätburgunder in Germany, Pinot Noir in France and Pinot Nero in Italy.
