Vineyard and terroir
The wine comes from 6.3 hectares in Grole, within the municipality of Desenzano del Garda in the province of Brescia. The soil consists of small pebbles and clay. The vines are 10 years old and planted at a density of 4,500 vines per hectare.
Grapes
Trebbiano di Lugana.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand into 10 kg crates during the second or third week of September. Fermentation takes place in steel vats.
Ageing
The wine remains on its own yeasts until the spring following harvest.
Tasting profile
Pale straw yellow with very clear reflections. Grapefruit, pineapple, mandarin and white flowers shape the aroma. Freshness and structural savouriness amplify flavours of grapefruit, melon and green apple on the palate.
Serving and pairing
Suitable for lake and sea fish, whether raw or grilled, as well as fish and vegetable risottos.
