Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from 16.5 hectares at Bastia in Montecchia di Crosara, situated on the ridge dividing the Alpone and Illasi valleys at 450 metres above sea level. The vineyard occupies two broad plateaus with clay-rich soils derived from limestone. The organically cultivated vines are 10 years old and planted at 5,000 vines per hectare.
Grapes
Corvina and Rondinella.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into 10 kg crates at the end of September. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in steel vats.

The wine matures for seven months in 30 hl oak barrels, followed by seven months in bottle before release.
