Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from Niscemi (CL), from vineyards at 100 m a.s.l. on loose soil. The vines are trained to spurred cordon at a density of 6,000 plants per hectare. The technical sheet gives a yield of 55 q/ha and a mid-September harvest; the wine page instead gives 50 q/ha and the last week of August.

85% Viognier and 15% Zibibbo.
Vinification
Vinified in steel without malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
Two months in bottle.
Technical data
Terre Siciliane IGT. First vintage: 2018. Available in 0.75 L bottles. Styled as a fruity white marked by freshness and an easy-drinking character.
Tasting profile
Straw yellow. Exotic fruit and peach aromas associated with Viognier mingle with the orange-blossom character of Zibibbo. Pronounced acidity supports the structure and gives the palate harmony and drinkability.
Serving and pairing
Suited to raw fish and shellfish preparations.
Label / history
The wine draws on Giacomo Tachis’s observation about the distinctive light and character of Sicily’s soil. Stephan Janson designed the dreamlike label, which evokes elements of the Sicilian landscape.
