Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are located in the municipality of Niscemi (CL), at 80 metres above sea level. The medium-textured soils have a sandy tendency. Vines are trained to spurred cordon at a density of 5,900 plants per hectare, with a yield of 70 quintals per hectare. Harvest takes place at the end of August.
Grapes
Inzolia and Chardonnay combine a native Sicilian variety with an international white variety.
Vinification
Vinification takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation is completed.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in steel, followed by two months in bottle.
Technical data
Terre Siciliane IGT. First vintage: 2021. Available in 750 ml bottles.
Tasting profile
Very light straw yellow. The bouquet is fine and delicate, combining flowers—particularly broom—with citrus and white-fleshed fruit ranging from peach to Golden Delicious apple. The palate is full, vibrant and intense, with clear citrus character and a persistent citrus finish.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif and with cheese or shellfish dishes. It also pairs particularly well with Sicilian vegetables and red onions.
